1. Learn to skate: In hockey, SKATING IS LIFE. Buy a good pair of new or used hockey skates and have them fitted properly. Then, find public skating hours at an arena near you and practice a ton!
2. Learn the game: Once you feel comfortable on skates, get yourself a basic set of equipment. Contact us if you need financial assistance or help finding used gear. Then, register for adult learn-to-play program such as NEWHL.
3. Register with USA Hockey: Click here to obtain your annual membership. This requires a $46 payment and must be validated before you can play in SSWHL. Again, if you need financial assistance, please contact us.
4. Register with SSWHL: Fill out the "Register with SSWHL" form once registration opens. You can register as a member of an existing team, or as a free agent in the appropriate Sub Pool.
5. Show up to play: Communicate with your captain about your payment schedule, check your team page for game times, abide by the SSWHL Code of Conduct, and have fun!

Use this form to submit your information to team captains in hopes of joining a team full-time or half-time. Captains may not be looking for players at this time so there is no guarantee of being contacted. If you wish to play as a substitute without joining a team, you may do so by registering for the Sub Pool appropriate to your level. The form will re-open on December 15th to register players and subs for the remainder of the season. Please contact us if you have an urgent request to register before this date.
